The next nearest spot to tee it up, at just 13 minutes away by car, is Pine Crest Golf Club. Established in 1925, this 18-hole course plays long and has wide fairways that those in your group who have a slice will appreciate!
When you’re not golfing there’s lots of things to keep you relaxed and busy at Elmhirst’s Resort. This Kawarthas cottage resort has it all including a sandy beach and floating playground on the lake. Kayaks, canoes and paddleboards are available to use. Prefer swimming in a pool? Elmhirst’s Resort has two of them. There are also paths to hike and bike on, a children’s playground and sports facilities and equipment.

5. Pigeon Lake Resort

Right across the road is Sheffield Greens. It’s a 9-hole course with flat, wide, forgiving fairways making it perfect for the occasional golfer.
For a little more of a challenge jump in the car and drive 15 minutes to Eganridge Resort, Golf Club & Spa.
Another 9-hole course, the layout here is picturesque but the terrain is hilly. Dunsford Golf & Country Club is the next closest place to swing the sticks. This 9-hole course is a nice spot for a casual game as there are very few hazards or course layout challenges to contend with.
If your goal is to use every club in your bag Six Foot Bay Resort & Golf Course in Buckhorn is where you want to tee it up. It’s a 25-minute drive from Pigeon Lake Resort but its beautifully manicured holes and challenge are well worth it.
When you’re not heading out for a game of golf, Pigeon Lake Resort is a great spot to unwind. The thousand feet of waterfront provides a great view. There’s a nice sandy beach area and playground for the kids. The lake is wonderful for swimming and fishing, and boat and motor rentals are available on site.
6. Eganridge Resort, Golf Club & Spa
Location: Sturgeon Lake, 26 Country Club Drive, Kawartha Lakes, Ontario K0M 1N0 (Fenelon Falls)

7. Sandy Beach Resort

Hungry for a challenge? Head south to Oliver’s Nest Golf Club where precision and finesse will be required to get you through this 18-hole course.
For a third option, there’s the Lindsay Golf & Country Club. Established in 1909, it’s one of the oldest courses in the Kawarthas. Here you get to enjoy playing two types of courses because the holes are a mix of classic parkland and link style.
8. Cameron Lake Resort
Location: Cameron Lake, 309 Northline Rd., Fenelon Falls, ON K0M 1N0

If your preference is a Kawartha Lakes cottage resort that provides lakeside views and a quiet place to chill, Cameron Lake Resort will fill the bill.
There is a spa on site, and the Victoria Rail Trail runs through the property if you desire a hike or bike ride. If you want to rent a boat, you can do so by visiting the nearby Fenelon Falls Marina.
To get your golf fix you’re just an 8-minute drive from Byrnell Golf Club. It’s a 9-hole executive course, but make sure you bring your “A” game as control, accuracy and a strong putting game will be required to ensure your score is something to brag about back at the resort.
Another challenging 9-hole course that less than 15 minutes away is Eganridge Resort, Golf Club and Spa.
And if you don’t mind a 30-minute drive, you can head north to The Links at Monck’s Landing for a British, links-style round.
